FEP Tape

FEP "fluorinated ethylene-propylene" film is used for applications requiring optical clarity, quick release, and abrasion resistance. FEP has many of the properties of PTFE but is limited to applications with temperatures under 400°F (204°C).

FEP uses include high temperature coil and capacitor wrapping, composite bonding, "see through" when optical clarity is required, wiring harnesses, conveyor release linings, and high temp cable splicing.

Silicone adhesives are outstanding for high temperature applications, performing at continuous operating temperatures from –100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 260°C). Silicone based adhesive systems exhibit good chemical resistance, retain electrical properties, and remove cleanly with little or no residue.
